Certain realities in the current-day practice of medicine make us continually assess how we provide the best care. As such, we must be able to adjust to the ever-changing environment of modern medicine.

Accurate Diagnoses
Providing a diagnosis and medication by phone has been, when appropriate, a service we have always provided. Medical forms for leave of absence or employment-related issues have always been filled out at no expense. Phone consultations to answer questions and address health issues were not billed despite the time they required. Regrettably, we can no longer afford these services for free. All other professions, such as accountants and attorneys, charge for the time taken to provide such services. Therefore, we must charge $20 for phone consultations. Discussing test results and addressing concerns will not change in any way. Please remember the savings you enjoy compared to a standard office visit to handle the same issue.

Medical Forms
Medical forms for leave time have become so complicated that they take more than a few moments to complete. Therefore, we must charge for this service. Completion of medical forms with respect to disability or work will now carry a fee of $20 per form. We will continue to give single forms for time off from work or school at no charge. Please understand that we would have continued as before, but the present insurance climate makes that impossible. We trust you will continue to allow us to treat your ear, nose, and throat issues, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
